What a bright spirit! He reminds me a bit of a young Marc Bolan. Some people I believe are brought here to shine for a reason….

I remember those Jesus People days back in the 70′s so deeply. Even though I have honestly grown to disagree with many of the premises of Christianity, I still think of these people as my family. Maybe it’s because I was a teenager, but those days were so intensely pure. The message simple. Everything I see about Christianity now just turns me off. Politics,

I remember those Jesus People days back in the 70′s so well. Even though I have honestly grown to disagree with many of the premises of Christianity, I still think of these people as my kindred spirits. Maybe it’s because I was a teenager, but I just hold those days as being so intensely pure. The message was so simple. Everything I see about Christianity now

I am studying sacred music in college right now and music ministry is one of my biggest passions. I am also pained to see the lameness of the “contemporary Christian music industry.” It shouldn’t be an industry. The Dove Awards is one of the biggest embarrassments to American Christianity. The whole thing is as if you took the Grammy Awards and slapped “Jesus” on it. I will be thrilled with however God uses me!

Clive Davis is a wicked man, the best thing to happen for Keith in music was that he didn’t get wrapped up with that satanic man. some think davis was involved in whitney houstons death and he promotes the evil pop culture we see ruining the youth of the world and america in particular.

I’ve been a Christian musician since 1979. It was a heart-piercing article Keith wrote, “Music or Missions” that kept me from breaking into the market-driven Christian music movement that took root in the early 80s, and all the compromised thereof. I’m thankful I never “Made it big.” It messes so many people up, including believers. Ministry for me has basically basically one-on-one and I wouldn’t change a thing. As much as I love performing for large audiences, this is far better.

Bless you friend! Pour yourself into the Word of God – it is by reading the Bible that you will ground yourself – also, be in strong fellowship.

    In Jesus Christ – alone!

Powerful impact on my life in college; stirred in me a deep devotion to Jesus and a desire to live all out. I am grateful for Keith’s life. I am excited now by what the Lord is doing thru Bethel, Bill Johnson, Jesus Culture – that same kind of sold out passion to love Jesus and make him known. I love God’s people, and I love Daddy God. What a good loving God we have, and how wonderful to get to work with Him this side of heaven as well as the hereafter. Blessings on Melody and the girls.

My only critisism for KG would be that Paul says it is ok to be compensated for the gospel.

Wow, what a delight! Not very computer savvy nor a great fan of it, I’ve been thrilled to find so much interest in “the Jesus Movement” online. A landlord’s neglect led to my entire LP collection being ruined and with it, things like Keith’s albums. What a blessing (a word I don’t overuse) to find this story, his music on this little ol’ laptop. Fun to see Randy Stonehill, Melody, Buck Herring and others. God bless all who remember those days and welcome to all starting your new life in Jesus!

I was a self-proclaimed Atheist from age 14 until just a week ago. When I was a child, I was so fervent with my faith but it was eroded away. I’m now 31 and am born again. I remembered listening to my parent’s favorite artist Keith Green and his music and I’m now going to bring it to people in the Philippines. I hope to help spread the word and love of God to all that I am able to conquer. God bless us all and vote Ron Paul!

Thank you for chronicling this story in such a REAL way. It’s authenticity speaks to how great is a God we serve while honoring Keith’s desire to honor the Creator and not the pencil. I trust that the Lord is continuing to bless Melody and the girls who continue here for a little longer….until that blessed day when we all shall meet together in the clouds. THEN there’ll be some serious worshipping going on forever and ever-amen!

I just stumbled upon one of this late man of God’s songs. I enjoyed the song and so I looked at one the comments and the person mentioned his plane crash. So I looked up his bio and was saddened by the discovery of his tragic passing almost 30 years ago. This man’s songs were full of conviction, power and God’s spirit, never mind the obvious talent.

God bless Keith Green and his ministry. I just discovered him today by typing into the search engine, Easter music. I will share his music with my daughter who is agnostic. I pray his music will touch her heart as it has touched mine.
