SOM unveils images of new undulating mixed-use tower in China

The form of SOM’s new mixed-use tower in China is the result of the structural, programmatic and environmental strategy. Snøhetta has revealed designs for the world’s first energy-positive hotel in the Arctic Circle—an incredible proposal given the region’s below-freezing temperatures. Uniti officially unveils its electric city car – and it will sell for under $18K

A new startup in Sweden, named Uniti has unveiled its first electric car, the Uniti One. Uniti unveiled its new electric city car, at an event in Sweden, where it also announced that the Uniti One will be priced as low as €14,900 ($17,532 US) when it goes on sale in 2019.

Even with its low price tag, the Uniti One can drive up to 186 miles with a small 22 kWh battery. NexLoop unveils water management system inspired by spiders, fungi, bees and plants

Hinckley unveils the world’s first fully electric luxury yacht

Imagine silently slicing through the Long Island Sound on a yacht, wind tousling your hair. That’s possible with Hinckley’s new Dasher yacht, which they say is the world’s first fully electric luxury yacht. There’s little noise from boat motors thanks to the twin 80 horsepower electric motors and waterproof BMW lithium-ion batteries that move the boat quietly through the waves.
