Flood frequency of the Amazon River has increased fivefold

New data suggests that flooding in the Amazon River has gone up in both intensity and frequency over the past 100 years. Scientists analyzed data points from the past century and believe the increase in flooding is linked to changes in ocean temperatures.

Trump Tower river violations incur a swift lawsuit by Illinois attorney general

Attorney General Lisa Madigan has pledged to combat the infractions made by the Trump International Hotel & Tower to the Chicago River. The lawsuit was filed in the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois this Tuesday against the construction conglomerate. A river made of 10,000 glowing books flows through Toronto

The battle between pedestrians and vehicles continues. A group of Spanish artists collectivelly known as Luzinterruptus have created a wonderful installation that uses thousands of books to fight pollution, noise and traffic jams in the world’s largest cities. Ekaterinensky Congress Center glows like a lantern on the Kuban River in Russia

Piuarch’s proposal for the new Ekaterinensky Congress Center in Krasnodar, Russia, envisions a three-story cultural complex that offers scenic views of the river bay and includes a pedestrian plaza connecting the city to the river.
