Worlds largest bookstore opens in Tehran, Iran

Book enthusiasts, we’ve found your dream destination. In Tehran, Iran, the world’s largest bookstore, called the Book Garden, opened on Wednesday. The giant academic complex is roughly 65,000 square meters (approximately 700,000 square feet) and features millions of books. The worlds largest bike parking garage opens in the Netherlands

Good news for avid cyclist in the Netherlands — which, to be honest, is pretty much everyone. To ensure the eco-friendly way of commuting is as convenient and safe as possible, the country just opened the first phase of what will be the world’s largest bike parking garage. By the end of 2018, the 184,000-square-foot space beneath Utrecht’s central train station will be able to hold 12,500 parked bikes.

Tesla makes good on South Australia promise with world’s largest Lithium ion battery

Elon Musk is a man of his word. In March the Tesla CEO tweeted a promise that he would help South Australia solve its energy woes in 100 days with a new power storage system – or give the whole thing away for free. Now he’s following up on that promise, having inked a deal with the State government to build the world’s largest Lithium ion battery. China’s largest bike share launches air-purifying bicycles for 20 million citizens

To clean the air of pollution and create a healthier environment for future generations, eco-innovator Daan Roosegaarde recently partnered with Chinese bike-sharing program ofo and leading Chinese design platform TEZIGN to make his smog-free bicycles available to millions of consumers. World’s largest vertical garden blooms with 85,000 plants in the heart of Bogota

Vertical gardens are not only eco-friendly, but are also versatile design elements that can adapt to different spaces. The largest one in the world, built in the Santalaia building in Bogota, Colombia, features around 85,000 plants and covers an area of 3,100 square meters (33,368 square feet). The world’s largest artificial sun could fry any living thing in an instant

German scientists are hoping to shine new light on ways to generate environmentally friendly fuel.
