3,000-year-old underwater castle discovered in Turkey’s largest lake

Lake Van in Turkey is the country’s biggest lake – but that isn’t its only claim to fame. Van Yüzüncü Yil University archaeologists and a team of divers recently discovered an underwater fortress far below the surface. The ancient nation of Urartu could have built the castle during the Iron Age, around 3,000 years ago.

One of the world’s largest mining companies is ditching coal

Aquariums are always good fun for families, but the New Aquarium slated for the outskirts of Oslo is sure to bring in architecture and design lovers too. Worlds largest bookstore opens in Tehran, Iran

Book enthusiasts, we’ve found your dream destination. In Tehran, Iran, the world’s largest bookstore, called the Book Garden, opened on Wednesday. The giant academic complex is roughly 65,000 square meters (approximately 700,000 square feet) and features millions of books. The worlds largest bike parking garage opens in the Netherlands

Good news for avid cyclist in the Netherlands — which, to be honest, is pretty much everyone. To ensure the eco-friendly way of commuting is as convenient and safe as possible, the country just opened the first phase of what will be the world’s largest bike parking garage. Tesla makes good on South Australia promise with world’s largest Lithium ion battery

Elon Musk is a man of his word. In March the Tesla CEO tweeted a promise that he would help South Australia solve its energy woes in 100 days with a new power storage system – or give the whole thing away for free. China’s largest bike share launches air-purifying bicycles for 20 million citizens

To clean the air of pollution and create a healthier environment for future generations, eco-innovator Daan Roosegaarde recently partnered with Chinese bike-sharing program ofo and leading Chinese design platform TEZIGN to make his smog-free bicycles available to millions of consumers.
