Aquariums are always good fun for families, but the New Aquarium slated for the outskirts of Oslo is sure to bring in architecture and design lovers too. School principal uses $22,000 of paint to transform former slum into a rainbow wonderland

We all know a fresh coat of paint does wonders for a room but what about repainting an entire town? That’s exactly what this small village in Indonesia did and the results are nothing short of spectacular. Armed with just $22,000 worth of paint, Kampung Pelangi transformed their village in Semarang into a multicolored wonderland and Instagrammer’s paradise.

Beautiful public gathering space grants second life to a former fish processing plant

The project. located in a village in the Magdalen Islands, Canada, is part of a larger initiative to build a series of public spaces on 12 panoramic sites. It pays tribute to the workers at sea and reinvigorates an otherwise inaccessible area. An openwork wooden stockade surrounds the site to guide passersby and provide privacy.

Hyperloop One raises $50 million and hires former Uber CFO as an advisor

Valdivieso Arquitectos transformed the site of a former water cistern near Madrid into a sculptural masterpiece of a single-family home.
