Built to wrap around a large lake, the Connecticut Residence takes design inspiration from its surroundings with a subdued palette mainly comprising natural materials. Japanese architect Tadao Ando’s work usually leaves people stunned, but his latest work is a piece of art. His latest work, the Hill of Buddha in the Japanese town of Sapporo is a landscape architecture project that consists of building a prayer hall around a 15 year old stone sculpture of Buddha.
