Kroger plans plastic bag phase-out by 2025

The Kroger supermarket conglomerate announced on Thursday that it is planning a phase-out of plastic bags at its nearly 2,800 locations as part of its Zero Hunger | Zero Waste commitment. The company owns an extensive list of retail centers throughout 35 U.S. states, including popular chains such as Harris Teeter, Fred Meyer and Ralphs.

BMW confirms the i4 electric sedan will arrive by 2025

Ever since the i3 and i8 were released in 2014, we’ve been wondering what BMW’s next model would be for its electric i sub-brand. BMW has now confirmed that it will introduce a new electric sedan called the i4 by 2025, which will be one of 25 new electrified vehicles that it plans to launch by 2025.

Four major cities pledge to ban diesel cars by 2025

Many large cities grapple with air pollution, and now four of the world’s largest metropolises are taking a stand. Paris, Madrid, Mexico City, and Athens pledged to ban diesel cars by 2025 at the C40 Mayors Summit ending today in Mexico City. They urged car manufacturers to take action as well, and also said they’d provide incentives for people to walk, bike, or drive alternative cars in their cities.
