Historic Green Cemetery Glastonbury CT

This cemetery lies in the heart of downtown Glastonbury, just off Main St. Many of the names on the old headstones dating back to the 1600′s are familiar to us Glastonbury citizens as the names of roads, schools, farms, town “greens” etc. Indeed, real people lived here and they were loved. Our own son is buried in this peaceful place.

    Hello Barb,

I will contact Green Cemetery via the info. you gave me in an earlier e-mail. I’m so sorry to hear that your young son is buried there. It looks like such a lovely place, though. I live in Cleveland. If I find out where/if my grandmother is buried there, would you possibly be able to take a picture of her grave for me? I have never seen it. Thank you!

I am researching this cemetery – I think my grandmother might be buried there. I have numerous other ancestors buried there and I believe she might be there as well. Do you know if there is a comprehensive list of burials for this cemetery? She died in 1989.
